If The World Is Flat... ?

Hey Tom Friedman, if you think "The World Is Flat" then how can the container ship MSC Chitra list so badly as to dump most of it's international commerce into the Arabian Sea? (link here). In a "flat world" ships wouldn't tilt or capsize. Ahhh, the joys of globalization! Maybe some more black turtle necks and jackets that Friedman loves to wear on Sunday morning shows (to conceal his burgeoning physical form) were in some of the dumped containers?
