Watching The World Burn

The Watchers is an interesting group.  I never really "got into" or understood "watching" groups, like in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, or Anne Rice novels, or countless comic books, where there's a society who "watches" and never "intervenes", but the older I get, and the more I watch the world change around me, I can better appreciate groups like The Watchers.

The Wallow wild fire in Arizona is now the second largest in the state's history.  It's smoke has reached Iowa, and is easily seen from the air. The pilot pointed it out on the port side of the plane Monday evening as we flew from Chicago to Phoenix .   The Watchers watch all sorts of things... not just fires.  It's pretty cool.  Link here.

  1. This should be interesting to see first hand. Will be spending the next 2 weeks backpacking in NM mountains, reports so far show "poor" air quality. The in-laws just drove home to Phoenix and passed near this area, comment "huh, still pretty dry this year."
