A US Interrogator Speaks

Originally Published here:

This interrogator (pseudonym "Matthew Alexander") was able to extract intelligence that lead to the location and missile targeting of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in 2006, not through torture, but instead, through gaining the trust of the prisoner he was interrogating.

"How anyone can say that torture keeps Americans safe is beyond me -- unless you don't count American soldiers as Americans."

Excellent Summary here:

NPR had this interrogator on "Talk of the Nation" today (December 4th). The veteran spoke clearly, succinctly, intelligently, and dissected each detractor who called in to challenge him.
