Château Bois de Lamothe Côtes-de-Duras

Château Bois de Lamothe Côtes-de-Duras, East of Bordeaux...  Côtes-de-Duras is about 50 miles away from Bordeaux.   It's $4 whole dollars form Trader Joes, so when I go there, I get at least 2 or 3 bottles.  It's a wonderful go-to red wine, and I strongly recommend it.

I've found really strange reviews online about the wine having asparagus or mint flavors in it.  I've not experienced any of those.  I've found one star reviews that lambast it as terrible, but I think those are people who have gotten a bad bottle.  I've had at least 6 bottles of Côtes-de-Duras over the last 2 years, and each one has been either good or great.  Much better than many $4 Australian or Californian wines. You can read the reviews for yourself here, here, and here.  But I think at $4 a bottle, you should get yourself a one, and see for yourself.  I've sipped this with dinner, and I've consumed an entire bottle over the course of a day or evening... and I have never gotten a hang over from it - that darn French quality!  =)     Enjoy!
