April 1st Swimming

I plunged into the pool last Friday, and have been swimming each day since.  74 to 75F, mid-day temperatures, makes an invigorating first thermal shock, but once you're in the water, it's quite pleasant. Better than Southern Lake Michigan in July, from what I can recall.   Ambient hit 100F air temperature March 31st (according to KJZZ), combined with night time temperatures staying int he lower 70s and upper 60s, supplemented by my passive solar water heater, makes for a good swimming environment - one week earlier than last year, and last year was 2 weeks earlier than the year before.

After my 3 hour anti-graffiti crusade yesterday, carrying 50 lbs of stray river rocks back home for a mile and a half, and some weeding in the back yard, an invigorating swim was just what was needed.
